Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that a diesel deal clearly irritates US lawmakers. He made this comment in response to US Senator Richard Blumenthal’s remark that Russian oil supplies were banned under US law.

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that Moscow supports US efforts to depoliticize G20 discussions. He noted that Russia backs the US determination to focus on the issues initially agreed upon for the G20 agenda.

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that he sees no real shifts in Russia-US relations. He also cautioned against having illusions regarding the Russia-US diesel deal.

The European Commission has proposed 45 billion euros in funding for Ukraine for 2027. According to the proposal, 31.7 billion euros of this amount would be allocated for weapons purchases.
