The MS NOW television network reported, citing sources, that the US administration has informed several Persian Gulf countries to prepare for a short, intense round of strikes on Iran as soon as November 4. These sources stated the US may resume strikes the day after the midterm elections.

Additionally, Washington's allies in the Persian Gulf are reportedly attempting to de-escalate the situation due to fears of Iranian retaliation.

Qatari mediators held talks in Tehran for more than 12 hours on Friday in an effort to reach a deal to restart direct negotiations between the U.S. and Iran and avoid an outbreak of war after the midterms, according to diplomatic sources.The discussions will continue in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday.

According to Washington, "this proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a partner country that is a force for political and economic stability in Europe"
