Prime Minister Andy Burnham is scheduled to host the Sultan of Oman at Downing Street on Wednesday to sign a new investment agreement during a three-day state visit. The meeting occurs against the backdrop of ongoing US military operations against Iran and a reported blockade of the Strait of Hormuz by Tehran, which has disrupted oil tanker traffic.
